History

Robbins Marine

Robbins Marine, Pennsylvania's largest boat dealership, has come a long way since it was first established way back in 1955. Before factories were delivering truckloads of manufactured boats, founder Larry Robbins started his business selling handcrafted wooden row boats from outside his parents' house in Lewisburg, PA. Larry was just a high school sophomore. Sales increased and his name became synonymous with quality boats within Central Pennsylvania.

After graduating college from Thompson Business School in Harrisburg, PA, Larry returned home to build both his family and his business. He started with building a garage to sell and service his boats. To keep up with demand, he began selling his first line ofmanufactured boats, Penn Y an, and soon after added Oliver Outboards, a brand that was later incorporated into Johnson Outboards.

With his business booming, Larry continued to add more and different boat and motor lines to his roster. With more options came more sales and with more sales came expansion. His original garage grew to include a nine-bay service department, a 500' long inventory warehouse, and the largest boating accessory showroom in Pennsylvania. The business also to include five satellite locations across the state as well as its current lineup of 13 top industry boat lines, three trusted motor lines, a line of personal water crafts, and a wide selection of pre-owned boats.

Unfortunately as of 2003 Larry is no longer with us, but his legacy lives on. The business is currently run by two of his son, Dennis and Dale, and his wife, Carolyn. For over 55 years Robbins Marine has build lasting relationships with customers all across the globe. We are a family business keeping families in mind. No matter what type of boat you are looking for, our educated sales team and year-round service staff is here to help you!
